Photoshop :: Any Way To Batch Process Color Corrected RAW Files To TIFF Files
Nov 11, 2013I got over 160 color corrected RAW files from my photographer when I thought I was getting TIf or PSD files. I need to put them into an in design doc to send out for printing. Is there a way to convert all of these in one fell swoop without messing up the work that has already been done?
I didn't allow in my timing to save each one individually since i didn't know I was going to need to do this. I am really unfamiliar with batch processing, so how to best go about this, or if I even can. I am working in Photoshop CS6. version 13.06 x 64.
AutoCAD .NET :: Batch Converting CTB Files To STB Files?
Nov 19, 2009As an organization, we have opted to go with STB as we have some complicated requirements that CTB doesn't accommodate. The wisdom of that decision is a moot point and I'm aware of the vast array of opinion.
We have a legacy of CTB drawings that occassionally need to be brought forward when projects get resurrected (state government highway designs are prone to getting shelved).
Up to AutoCAD 2009, I've had a VBA routine that performed a few operations on a list of files stored in a text file:
- Open the file
- Convert to STB using 'CONVERTPSTYLES' with a specified STB file.
- Run a script to load a layer state file to change the plot styles from Style1, Style2 etc, to their correct named plot styles.
- Manage a recalcitrant layer that refused to play ball.
- Save and close the document
- Get the next file........
This was all fine until 2010 came along with the announcement that VBA was to be phased out. 2010 is OK with the VBA enablers, but now I've got some work to do.
Our organisation's development language is C# and I'm using Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition to develop my C# .NET code.
Is there another mechanism than 'SendStringToExecute' for sending a command such as convertpstyles to AutoCAD and getting .NET to wait for it to finish before proceeding.
I've got CommandEnded code that handles waiting for MTEXT and DTEXT commands to finish and I've tried constructing a CommandEnded for CONVERTPSTYLES, but it seems to me that commands that throw dialogue boxes such as CONVERTPSTYLESand SCRIPT aren't handled the same way.
I've tried setting FILEDIA to 0 prior to running the CONVERTPSTYLES command, however the message box that CONVERTPSTYLES presents before asking for the STB file appears to be getting in the way.

Photoshop :: Converting Jpeg Photo Files To TIFF Format
Apr 4, 2008I'm taking the time to edit some of my nicer/older outdoor photos that were taken in jpeg format in Photoshop CS3 and then on to printing with an Epson 3800. I've been told that files I want to print I should make sure that I'm set to an RGB color space (1998), get icc profiles for paper, have photoshop manage colors, etc.
This is all going great! However, I've recently read online that to truly show the full potential of one's photos, those jpeg's should be converted to a TIFF file format...especially when printing (I'm now taking everything in RAW format, but I still have to take care of some of these nicer jpeg's).
Have done several prints comparing same photo in jpeg & tiff and tiff definately is higher quality. Now..my questions concern some of the settings in CS3 when I chose 'Save As' - 'Format' = tiff. Code:
AutoCad :: Converting 1000's Of Files From Microstation J Drawings With Mail Merge Portion
Nov 9, 2011We are a water utility and have thousands of detail drawings of service taps and hydrant connections (maybe 11,000 total). These are in the old Microstation J format. Each drawing is divided into a top half and bottom half. The bottom half of the drawing is the actual drawing portion.
The top half of the drawing is text that comes out of an Old Oracle database, into Microsoft Word 2000 through mail merge then is copied and pasted into the top portion of the card. Newer drawings done like this and opened in AutoCAD have the top portion identified as an OLE object (embedded object), while the older drawings just look like a drawing in the top.
I'm looking to update the system to ArcGIS and AutoCAD. The data will be moved to a Microsoft Access database (probably later SQL Server), and I want to convert all the old Microstation drawings into an AutoCAD format. ArcGIS will provide the basemap and be linked to the database, with clickable hyperlinks to open the AutoCAD drawings. I would like to be able to keep the bottom drawing half while changing the top half of each drawing to reflect updated data in the database. If this can be automatically updated, that would be awesome.
One is the best program to automatically bulk convert the drawings from Microstation J to AutoCAD (I have 2011). Also, I'm looking for a method to display the text from the database in the top portion of the card using either mail merge with AutoCAD or some automatic method of pulling the info out of the database. Can I just copy-paste this info into AutoCAD as we did with Microstation or is there a better way?
Photoshop :: CS6 / Batch Process CR2 Raw Files To TIFF Without Losing Color Adjustments?
Nov 12, 2013Working in BRidge and Photoshop CS6:I have 160 color adjusted hi-res CR2 RAW files from my photographer, thought I was getting tifs. I need tifs for my INdesign file. I tried using the photoshop image proecessor through brige by selecting all my images and then saving as TIFFs but I am losing all my color correcting? Is there a way to save these out as tiffs as a group and not one at a time? I also might have lost my color correcting when I copies them all to one folder as well...not sure what is happening except now my great product shots look like crap.
Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 :: How To Add Multiple TIFF Files To Batch Process
Feb 28, 2011Question: How do I “Add” multiple TIFF files to a Batch Process so I don't get the 'what page' question? The PP9 Batch Process Added – OPENED - files, processed according to my script, then saved the result to new type & folder.
X5, a recent purchase, does an IMPORT of TIFFs instead of an OPEN and wants to know what page I want to load. Answering this on each file defeats the purpose of batch processing. How I should write the script?
Photoshop :: Batch Convert Several Thousand TIFF Files To Lossless JPEG-2000?
Jun 27, 2013I am trying to batch convert several thousand TIFF files to lossless JPEG-2000, but I can't get it to work.
When I open a single file and 'Save as' JPEG-2000 with the lossless option checked, the result is truly lossless. But when I record this as an Action and then Automate/Batch this action, the output is not saved as lossless.
AutoCad :: Export Drawings In High Quality (TIFF)
Sep 30, 2013is there a way of exporting my AutoCAD drawings in high quality? Maybe Tiff?
The problems I have with exporting is that if export a drawing as a *.wmf the thick lines come out too thick even when using the 0.3 mm thickness. If i use the 0.25 mm thickness the lines are as thin as with the default thickness.
The contour lines of an image I imported into my AutoCAD drawing are coming all blurry when I export into wmf file even when using the 600 dpi resolution (highest available on the menu).
Inside my AutoCAD drawing my image map has a very high quality but when I export it, with AutoCAD polylines on top of it, the drawing comes out horrible.
I painted a blue polyline to represent a river in a contour map. This is for a civil engineering project. When I export the drawing, the polyline comes out too thick and the image behind comes out blurry. This happens even when using the highest definition possible for a wmf export (600 dpi).
I've read in another thread about a way of exporting into tiff. I followed the directions but the thread is not well explained. It doesn't say whether it is necesary to have or buy certain software. And it doesn't say what to do next to export the tiff drawing.
how to export high quality AutoCAD drawings?
AutoCad :: Attaching Multiple TIFF To Separate Drawings?
Apr 12, 2012I have about 1500 .tif files that I need to attach to drawings. Is it possible to write a script or macro of some sort that will automate this process?

AutoCad 2D :: Converting PDF Drawings To DWG File
Mar 28, 2011Basically the problem is we have converted a PDF drawings to DWG files. But the created file was very large like 50mb per file. When I tried to look at it in 3D view, it looks like a city.. but it is not solids and some lines are made from hatches. Before I remember we tried the flatten command to flatten the drawings but when I use the softwares that we have (from autodesk) it doesn't have that command. I searched the net for some solutions or an equivalent command for flatten but it doesn't solve the problem.
Photoshop :: Converting JPG To TIFF
Oct 27, 2008I have a high resolution (300 dpi) JPG image, but my printer wants me to supply him with TIFF images. If I saved this high-res JPG image as a TIFF would that be sufficient to convert it, or is there something else I have to do?
AutoCAD Inventor :: DimFactor - Converting Models To Drawings
Dec 31, 2013Often i take 3D models and lay them out flat in Sheet Metal. Take the flat layout and convert it to DXF in AutoCAD. I recently came across an issue i haven't seen before and am confused as to how it occurred. I dimension the blanks in Inventor since Inventor is much more user friendly then AutoCAD as far as dimensioning goes. Somehow my DIMFactor was switched to .8 in AutoCAD which made my model scaled to 1.25 and therefore incorrect. I have no clue how i switched my DIMFactor to .8 in Autocad.
AutoCAD .NET :: Batch Embed TIF Image Into Drawings?
Aug 20, 2013Due to customer constraints I have to embed .tif images into AutoCAD drawings. This is a manual operation doing a copy ->pastespecial. I was wondering if there was any way to automate this? The pastespecial command doesn't seem to take arguments to bypass the dialoge box and therefore does not allow me to batch embed .tifs programatically.
Photoshop :: Converting PDF To Multipage TIFF
Oct 30, 2013I need to be able to convert documents (.pdfs or anything else really) into multi page, CCITT group type 4 .tiffs. I've read that this is possible to do in Photoshop, but when I tried downloading a trial on my computer, I wound up with a corrupted hard disk (unfortunately, this is also on my personal, not my work computer), but no functional software. How to get Photoshop to run without destroying my hard disk, I'd like to find out if it's worth the trouble.
GIMP :: RAW Images Converting To TIFF
Oct 27, 2011GIMP 2.6.11 WinXP
I've been opening my RAW images in Irfanview, converting them to .tif images, and then opening the .tif images in GIMP for processing, but I've been getting a pop-up window (see screenshot) that says:
'Calling error for procedure 'gimp-image-set-resolution': Image resolution is out of bounds, using the default resolution instead.'
What does that message mean?
Lightroom :: Converting PNG To TIFF For Management In 4.4
Apr 11, 2013I am trying to find an efficient method for converting PNGs to TIFFs for management in LR 4.4. I have tried using Automator for Mac for this purpose. However, the converted TIFF files appear corrupt when imported into LR, although they still work when imported to Photoshop.
Any reason why Automator's conversion would not be acceptable?
Similarly, I tried using GraphicConverter 8 and had the same results.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Batch Export To DWG Solids And Drawings
Nov 8, 2011I have a client who is requesting that I send them '.dwg' files of a particular project. They are asking for both 3D solids AND 2D drawing files.
1.) I can export the assembly files to a 3D DWG easy enough but how do I do it for 83 files using task scheduler or something; I cannot figure it out?
2.) We have used '.dwg' as our native drawing format because we have people here who have a need to open our IV drawings using AutoCAD. Can I just send my client these files, without the supporting part files, and have them open them?
3.) If I just send them a copy of our native '.dwg' files are they going to be able to re-use that geometry somehow? There isn't a real IP concern as these are just pipe supports and platforms made from available steel shapes but I certainly wouldn't want them to be able to take our work and re-use it on a different project without us. If they have to do some crazy stuff like explode and scale and re-dimension these things in order for them to be re-usable on a different project, I would at least prefer that to them just being able to reuse them easily. I guess what I'm saying is that if they are going to re-use this content, I am not going to make it easy for them that's for sure!

GIMP :: Batch Convert PDF To TIFF
Sep 16, 2011I have over 200 pdf files that I need to batch convert to tiff format. From what I've gathered, this can be done simply using Ghostscript. Any tool for gimp that could do this? or step by step, through the process of using GS to perform this task?
AutoCad :: Batch Plot 50 Drawings - Publish With Block Stamp?
Jun 20, 2012I'd like to batch plot 50 drawings, all of which have the same title block in the same position. This is easy with the PUBLISH command, but I'd like to be able to add a 'stamp' of the customer logo to these drawings, which I have as a block in a separate file. Basically I want to easily be able to plot the same drawings for different customers, the only difference being the customer logo. Is this possible?
Photoshop :: Converting TIFF From ProPhoto To SRGB And Back
Jul 29, 2013I have a 16 bit, ProPhoto tif file in .psb format. My question is, if I convert it to sRGB and then back to ProPhoto will I get the original ProPhoto colorspace or will it be lost? BTW, does the same hold true for converting in .dng?
Illustrator :: Converting TIFF Signature Into Vector Lines
Dec 24, 2012I scanned my signature into my computer as a TIFF file. I then edited and cleaned it up in Photoshop. Then I placed it into Illustrator and turned it into a Vector file. The problem with this though is that there are vector paths around the perimeter of the signature and not down the middle of the letter strokes as would be if I had made it in Illustrator. Is there a way that I can still make this happen?
I just converted it back to a tiff file becuas the vector lines were turning into double lines in places. I just enlarged them enough that it hid any gaps and then converted it into a tiff file to have another try at it. Would much rather work with one line though.
