Hidden Winch Mount Specialist is a winch mount system that is a simple bolt on replacement for your wimpy factory bumper. The system is a simple bolt on and no welding is required. With Hidden Winch Mount Specialist you get the added benefits of having a winch on your truck but not all of the added weight of a bulky and expensive aftermarket. I love the hidden winch idea, but I'm starting to think the most cost effective solution may end up being to run a hitch receiver mount out a hole on the front bumper and hunting the winch in a cradle. It's not as pretty, but you have full use of the winch, and if you run some +/- terminals to the rear, you have the ability to go to work from. Undercover Hidden Winch Mount System makes one but its $425 without powdercoat (+$90) or D-ring recovery points (+$150). And, if I got that one with D-rings, I would have to cut out the holes for the D-rings not knowing if it would fit up right. BudBuilt also makes one.
