What you need
Download a Wad Manager (or use link above) and put it in the “apps” (no quotes) folder in the ROOT of your SD card. Once you download a.wad file of your choice, make a “WAD” (all caps no quotes) folder in the ROOT of your SD Card and put your downloaded.wad files there. Turn on your Wii and run the Hombrew Channel.

Downloading
If you are on Windows 7 or newer open cmd.exe (Run or press Windows Logo+R and type in cmd.exe) and run the command
Give it a few seconds because Powershell have to startup. After few seconds a new windows should open.
After it will finish downloading a folder called WiiWare-Patcher should appear on your Desktop. Open it and open file called patcher.bat

Press any button. If the update will be available, you must update the WiiWare Patcher to continue.
The update process takes about 10 to 15 seconds.
After that, you should see this.
Please copy your WADs files to the folder where WiiWare Patcher is.
